The Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research (APJOR)

APORS publishes a bimonthly journal JAPOR (Journal of Asia-Pacific Operational Research, http://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/apjor).

The journal places submissions in general, theoretical, OR practice, reviewer survey, OR education, and communications including short articles and letters. Emphasis is on originality, quality and importance, with particular emphasis given to the practical significance of the results. Practical papers, illustrating the application of Operation Research, are of special interest. Being recognized as an official publication of APORS, the journal is edited, managed and published by ORSS in Singapore.

The ORSS started publishing the inaugural volume of Asia-Pacific Journal of Operational Research (APJOR) in 1984, and this was subsequently adopted as the official journal of the APORS. APJOR provides a forum for practitioners, academics and researchers in OR and related fields, within and beyond the Asia-Pacific region. It is currently published by the World Scientific Publishing Co. and the ORSS continues to play an active management role in running this journal.

To promote the cooperation with OR colleagues in the Asia-Pacific area and the rest of the world, the Asia-Pacific Operations Research Center (APORC) was set up in 1995 in Beijing. The center is affiliated with the CAS and APORS. Major activities of the APORC include receiving academic visitors from APORS members and organizing regional seminars and workshops.
